Vowel-dropping startup Splitsecnd has launched a dongle that plugs into your car's cigarette lighter and calls 911 if it senses you've crashed. When triggered, the hardware uploads your location to the emergency services while a rep will calmly talk you through the process. The unit also comes with a button that lets you call during medical emergencies and other worrying times. It's available for $200 with a $15 monthly fee, and there's a commercial after the break showing how the concept works -- with a woman who takes an awfully long time to say thank you.
