Samsung SCH-i337 appears in UAProf, teases bad pun, 1080p display

Mum's still the word on the arrival of Samsung's next Galaxy S device, but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating. The latest? A user agent profile for a SCH-i337, a Samsung manufactured handset boasting a 1080p display. The UAProf reveals little else about the device, but its ~~lame~~ 1337 naming convention playfully suggests something impressive is coming our way. The Galaxy S IV, perhaps? We're not quite ready to make that call -- but Sammy has to do something with that new Exynos chip, doesn't it? Unannounced Google Nexus 10 dock appears in festive Android video

Google gets festive with Android holiday video

Google looks certain to launch a dock connector for its Nexus 10 tablet after the unannounced accessory appeared in a festive video.

The 'Happily Holidays from Android' clip, posted this weekend, features the Android mascot meeting up with pals and the latest generation of devices, the Nexus 4 phone and the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets.

The clip shows a user placing the Nexus 10 tablet in a small dock connector and playing Christmas-themed content, much to the delight of the cute wee green droid.

The appearance suggests that the launch probably should have happened by now, or that its release is imminent.

The video comes after an official Nexus 7 dock - also featured in the video - went up for pre-order through third-party retailers.

ZTE Grand X appears in T-Mobile USA garb at the FCC

If you were wondering whether or not the ZTE Grand X would cross the oceans to launch in the US, there's a good chance the mystery is over. An unusually detailed FCC filing has uncovered a V970T variant that's destined for T-Mobile USA, complete with the carrier branding, Wi-Fi calling and AWS-based 3G data to match. Other details of the Android 4.0 phone are lacking despite the presence of a manual, although the V970 edition we've seen elsewhere runs on a dual-core, 1GHz MediaTek MT6577 chip alongside the more familiar 4.3-inch screen and 5-megapixel rear camera. T-Mobile's release plan is about all that's left to ponder; knowing the entry-level components, though, any possible launch should come with a low price tag.

Sony Yuga appears online sporting 5-inch HD display

Sony may be getting in on the big-screen action

The Sony Yuga has appeared online in leaked press shots, revealing a whopping screen and some impressive specs.

Also known as the Sony C6603, the handset sports a 5-inch, full HD display boasting a 1920 x 1080 resolution and it's rumoured to be the flagship device for the Japanese firm in 2013.

Swiss site Android-Schweiz has managed to get hold of a number of photos of the Sony Yuga, showing off a smartphone with a glass front and rear, and a rather bulbous power button on one side.

The sealed glass chassis means there's no access to the battery, but the site claims the Yuga does offer a microSD card slot and HDMI port.

Meanwhile on that large Samsung Galaxy Note 2 challenging display, the Sony Yuga is reportedly running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, backed up by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM – making it as powerful as the Note 2 and Google Nexus 4.

Round the back the Yuga is thought to house a powerful 12MP camera, carrying on the strong photographic pedigree from the Sony Ericsson days and handsets such as the C902 and K800i.

In terms of a Sony Yuga release date or price we are still in the dark - but if this device really does exist we could well see it at either CES 2013 or MWC in Barcelona early next year.
